Award-winning professional domestic housekeeping franchise business, Bright & Beautiful®, is celebrating a milestone 10 years in franchising, growing its national network to over 65 business owners, creating a workforce of 850+ local people and hitting a record turnover in excess of £8 million in 2019.
Part of Neighbourly®, the world’s largest franchisor of home service brands, Bright & Beautiful was established in 2007 and set up its first pilot franchise in 2010 with Faye Roddy in Altrincham, Greater Manchester. With the vision to initially empower women to harness their own businesses, the UK wide business has since gone from strength to strength and has an increasing number of both male and female franchise owners who are each building their own local enterprises.
In ten years, the fully managed service-based franchise, which provides eco-friendly cleaning, tidying, laundry and ironing with the highest standard of service and security, has delivered more than 150,000 home service cleans and one off cleans every year to over 4,000 clients. Further growth is planned for 2020, including generating new professional housekeeping roles to bring the workforce to over 1,000 and achieving an annual turnover in excess of £10 million.
Bright & Beautiful’s heritage has shaped the core values of its business and these are based on four brand pillars – holistic housekeeping, strict security, trusted team and pure products, which have created a successful company culture that is embodied across the whole network.
Ethical employment is also a vital part of the business with all staff offered training, holiday pay and full employment rights. Equally important is being sustainable and doing good for the planet by reducing its plastic usage by around 1.5 tonnes per year with the use of its eco-friendly cleaning products.
Bright & Beautiful is one of the home service brands for Neighbourly and was acquired in 2017. The brand’s support team operate from the Neighbourly Training Centre in Brackley, Northamptonshire.
